Lucy McLauchlan
I'm really interested in Lucy McLauchlan's art work. A lot of her pieces have multiple faces in them. There was one art piece that was a painting of a tree made out of faces. The tree roots have large faces and then as you look at the tree trunk you can see the faces are smaller. I thought that was so unique. She uses black and white colors in a lot of her art pieces. I'm thinking about using her art work as a reference for my art piece. In the art piece to the left, you can see the body of a woman. The background color is black and there is a strip with faces inside. She intended for the strip to form the body of a woman. I love the swirly lines and different shades. This art piece on the left is very simplistic and what I'm trying to go for.
